Chimaera at the 2026 Bavarian Surgical Congress
From July 22 to 24, 2026, the 103rd annual meeting of the Bavarian Surgical Association (VBC) was held in Erlangen in conjunction with the third State Congress of Physician Assistants. With the theme "Knowledge, Action, Sharing," the event centered on recent advancements in surgery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The congress offered Chimaera a valuable opportunity to present Chimaera ImViA directly to the surgical community. Our software enables the structured annotation and AI-supported analysis of surgical videos. This allows complex surgical procedures to be systematically recorded, evaluated, and utilized for research, teaching, and quality improvement.
For three days, Dr. Nina Ebel and Dr.-Ing. Dieter Hahn were on site in the TRC foyer. Our booth became a hub for discussions, live demonstrations, and networking. Our espresso machine was delightfully popular, providing a casual setting for spontaneous encounters and good espresso.
The VBC Congress once again demonstrated the importance of dialogue among clinical practice, research, and technology. This exchange helps us consistently further develop Chimaera ImViA to meet the needs of surgical applications.
