We are happy to welcome our dedicated and talented master student Max Wöhrl as a permanent member of the Chimaera team!
During his studies of electronics and mechatronics at the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm, Max wrote his master thesis at Chimaera GmbH. In his thesis, he investigated machine learning methods for improving annotation processes on surgical videos that were annotated only on the basis of selected key frames. The goal was to develop an approach that automatically generates segmentations for intermediate images - an exciting challenge that he successfully mastered.
We are all the more pleased that Max will continue to develop our Chimaera universal toolkit Chimaera SDK.
His current focus is on our BMBF project contribution to the SurgicalAIHub Germany. Here he supports us with his expertise in the following areas
- Research and development of the platform for invoking AI models in our 'ModelZoo' in the Web annotation app,
- Developing and deploying AI models in the area of Video Object Segmentation (VOS) to automatically complete annotations in endoscopic surgery videos,
- and integration of the Chimaera SDK into the Webannotation App.
We wish Max a lot of fun and exciting projects at Chimaera – welcome to the team!
