From master's thesis to product team: Quirin von Rekowski is now on the Chimaera team.
A familiar face has returned to Chimaera:
Quirin von Rekowski is now joining our team full-time. He was previously integrated into our workflow first as a working student and then as a Master's student, completing his thesis, “Comparative Analysis of Interactive Segmentation Techniques in Medical Imaging.”
Practical further development of AI in surgery
Quirin is on the development team at Surgical AI Hub Germany, where he's working on improving our AI demonstrator for surgical quality assessment.
He is also heavily involved in setting up our new ImViA ecosystem, a central project in which we are unifying visualization, annotation, and analysis processes on a shared platform. Our goal is to create the technical foundation that will enable our AI applications to be used in clinics and for research purposes in the future.

Hands-on for the perfect workplace!
First, though, a customized PC is needed because, at Chimaera, hardware is given special treatment!
We are delighted to officially welcome Quirin as a permanent member of our development team and look forward to taking the next steps together toward creating product-ready AI solutions for surgery and research.
Welcome back to the team, Quirin!
