As co-founder and CEO, Volker is an expert in numerical topics, particularly complex optimization and registration procedures. After holding initial positions in applied research, he tackled highly challenging problems in non-rigid, multimodal image registration during his doctoral studies. He focuses on mathematically demanding tasks that directly impact medical applications. 

At Chimaera, he applies his expertise in theory, high-performance computing, and medical imaging to product and AI development, offering analytical, solution-oriented approaches and a keen sense for robust algorithms.
